On the island of Madeira, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and above the rooftops of the city of Funchal, the Rooftop Cocktail Bar at Three House Hotel is emerging as one of the names to watch in the new wave of Portuguese mixology. The latest recognition comes with its nomination for Best Hotel Bar at the Lisbon Bar Show 2026.

The nomination also reinforces Madeira’s role as a rising territory on the mixology map, increasingly present on the routes of those seeking distinctive, signature-driven experiences.
The final recognition will be announced on May 20 at the Lisbon Bar Show, one of the main stages of bar culture in Portugal, where not only the best are awarded, but where the future of the sector is also discussed.
April at the Three House rooftop
Following the trend of previous months, the rooftop at Three House Hotel presents a diverse program throughout April, combining live music, DJ performances, and gastronomic offerings.
On Wednesdays, “SLEEK. MID. WEEK.” features live jazz concerts, with different line-ups throughout the month, including Jazz Finesse Trio, Pepper Jazz Quartet, and Jazz Avenue Quartet. Thursdays are dedicated to the “PHILL.ME.” concept, with DJ sessions, while Fridays host “PINCH(O). ME. FRIDAYS.”, combining open-fire barbecue with musical entertainment, featuring names such as Jay Câmara (today) and Francisco Coelho.
Saturday’s program also includes performances by guest DJs, including Tozé Diogo, Jay Câmara, and Jesterr.
The venue is open from Wednesday to Saturday, from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM, and offers a daily happy hour from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with one cocktail offered when you buy two.
