The “World’s Best Par 3 Hole 2025” can be found in Madeira, according to the 12th edition of the prestigious World Golf Awards, one of the most highly regarded accolades in the golfing world.

The distinction, decided by votes from golf professionals, media representatives and golf enthusiasts from across the globe, recognises the “exceptional design, scenic beauty and unforgettable experience” that the Madeiran course offers its players.

According to Chris Frost, Managing Director of the World Golf Awards, this honour is a testament to the dedication and quality that Santo da Serra represents on the international stage. Frost stated that “this award reflects the excellence and passion that define Santo da Serra Golf Club. It is a true jewel in the global golfing landscape, offering a Par 3 hole that combines challenge, elegance and breathtaking views.”

Located on the island of Madeira, Santo da Serra Golf Club is widely regarded as one of the most captivating courses in Europe. Designed in harmony with the island’s dramatic terrain, the award-winning Par 3 hole perfectly blends natural beauty with strategic design.

Although the 2025 World Golf Awards Gala will not take place in person, Santo da Serra’s achievement will be officially announced and celebrated across the organisation’s communication channels on 13 November, as part of the World Golf Awards Winners Day.

With this distinction, Santo da Serra Golf Club joins an exclusive group of world-class golf destinations, further strengthening Madeira’s reputation as a leading destination for golf tourism. From this date onwards, the club will proudly display its World Golf Awards Winner’s Trophy, together with the Commemorative Plaque and Digital Winner’s Package.
