The Savoy Signature group will launch a charity chocolate on July 5th. This initiative is designed to support CASA - Homeless Support Center. It also serves to celebrate World Chocolate Day, a celebration that includes the live creation of a chocolate sculpture.
The two initiatives involve three chefs: Jorge Cardoso, two-time Culinary World Cup champion and creator of the sculpture of Cristiano Ronaldo at the CR7 Museum; the executive pastry chef at Savoy Palace, Pedro Campas; and the corporate chef at Savoy Signature, Celestino Grave.
Together, they will create the chocolate sculpture. The work, approximately 1.50 meters high and weighing 50 kilos, will be on display from July 7th in the lobby of the Savoy Palace hotel, inviting guests and visitors to enjoy the fusion of art and gastronomy. The piece will represent M. Gastron, a character from the Savoy Palace universe inspired by gastronomy – a sophisticated figure, a lover of refined flavors, who personifies the sensory experience of the hotel's restaurants and bars.
The Solidarity Chocolate is presented in boxes of 4 units and costs €10. For each box sold, 50% of the proceeds will be donated to CASA. 2,000 chocolats were produced.
The Savoy Signature Solidarity Chocolate will be on sale in a dedicated space in the lobby of the Savoy Palace hotel and in the Terreiro, Pau de Lume and Galáxia Skyfood restaurants. The protocol formalizing this collaboration will be signed on July 7th.
The celebration of World Chocolate Day will last for three days at the Savoy Palace, between July 5th and 7th. The Terreiro, Pau de Lume and Galáxia Skyfood restaurants will present exclusive themed desserts, created especially for this occasion by chefs Pedro Campas and Celestino Grave.
