Barceló Funchal Oldtown and Hotel Quinta das Vistas Garden have released their programme for the festive season, bringing together gastronomic offerings and entertainment moments designed for both guests and local residents.
At Barceló Funchal Oldtown, located next to the Cathedral, the Noz restaurant will be the heart of the celebrations. The hotel is preparing a Christmas Eve dinner on 24 December, featuring a special menu and live music, and will also offer lunch and dinner on 25 December. The kitchen presents suggestions that blend traditional references with contemporary approaches.
The schedule also includes an event on 30 December, dedicated to the theme “Tempus Fugit”, combining a gastronomic experience with esoteric elements, a DJ set and visual projections. On the night of 31 December, the hotel offers two types of gala dinner: an à la carte menu at the Noz restaurant, with wine pairing, and a premium buffet at the Bordadeiras restaurant (already sold out). In both cases, participants gain access to the rooftop to watch the fireworks and enjoy the party, which continues until 2:00 am. The dress code is black tie.
Hotel Quinta das Vistas Garden is also announcing its New Year’s Eve programme. Overlooking Funchal Bay, the property is organising a gala dinner with live music, a menu designed by chef Ricardo Sousa and a midnight toast, followed by a party. Participants have access to the reserved panoramic area to watch the firework display.
For those looking to enjoy just the celebration, the hotel offers entry to the party and the fireworks viewing area, with an open bar from 11:00 pm to 2:00 am. The events are open to guests aged 12 and over. The full programme, including dinner and the party, costs 350 euros, while the party-only option is priced at 150 euros.
