Wine dinner at Avista

Wines from Quintas do Sanguinhal and das Cerejeiras showcased at the Avista restaurant.

Avista restaurant, located within the hotel Les Suites at The Cliff Bay in Funchal, will host a wine dinner on 18 November at 8:30 p.m., in partnership with Companhia Agrícola do Sanguinhal. The event will feature producer Diogo Reis, who will present a selection of wines from Quinta do Sanguinhal and Quinta das Cerejeiras.

The dinner offers a pairing experience that brings together gastronomy and oenology through a four-course menu created by Chef João Luz and his team. Dishes will include Gamba do Algarve, From our sea, New Zealand lamb rump, and Chocolate essence. Each course will be paired with a wine carefully selected to complement its flavours, including labels such as Quinta das Cerejeiras Grande Reserva and Quinta do Sanguinhal Grande Escolha. The experience concludes with a surprise wine, followed by coffee and petit fours.

With over a century of history, Companhia Agrícola do Sanguinhal is one of Portugal’s oldest wine producers and bottlers. Located in the Óbidos Demarcated Region, the company manages around 100 hectares of vineyards, combining tradition and innovation across four generations.
